Bolton Wanderers
HistoryIn 1874 a group of boys from Christ Church Sunday School, along with their
master Thomas Ogden, established a football club under the school name. The
President of the football club was the Vicar of Christ Church. However, the
President started to lay down too many rules regarding the use of the church
premises, and the club broke away to form Bolton Wanderers in 1877 Bolton have
never won the English league championship. They have won the F.A Cup on 4 occasions
1923, 1926, 1929 and 1958. |
