Ground Profile

Commonly known as Upton Park, the Boleyn Ground is going through a process of redevelopment which, pending financial investment, would see its capacity rise to 40,500. The new Dr Martens Stand is a two tier grandstand seating 15,000 supporters. The stand currently is around fifteen metres form the pitch, however this will change as the redevelopment makes progress prior to the 2002-03 season kicking off. In total it will eventually cost around £35 million and comprise of work on a new East Stand, with further work on the Bobby Moore and Centenary Stands. The ground looks a little strange at present as the pitch will move when the building work is completed.

Visiting fans are situated in the lower tier of the North Stand 'Centenary' Stand with an allocation in three stages those being 1400, 2500 and 4000 for big cup matches. Expect an unrestricted view of the pitch and limited amounts of leg room.
