Stephen sure Bees are back in hunt - 16/09/2003

Stephen Hunt today backed Brentford to build on the feel-good factor generated by their first away win of the season.

Wally Downes's side have made a dismal start but showed a major improvement in Saturday's 1-0 triumph over Rushden & Diamonds.

Hunt, who scored the winner, said: "The reaction of the players and the fans showed what it meant to us. "We have got two home games coming up, against Blackpool and Hartlepool, so hopefully we can build on that."

Captain Michael Dobson continues to struggle with a knee injury and is a major doubt for Blackpool's visit to Griffin Park tonight.

But goalkeeper Paul Smith has served a three-match suspension and looks set to replace Alan Julian.

On-loan striker Tommy Wright, who made an impressive debut as a substitute at Rushden, is in contention for a starting place.
