BOLTON goal hero John McGinlay has flown in from his coaching job in America to be part of the club's Legends Evening which is being held at a glittering function tonight.

The Scottish striker and fan favourite is sure to find a place in the top 50
who will be announced as official club Legends.

He said: "For anyone who has the feelings like I do for the club, it is
worth the effort to fly over from the States.

"I am looking forward to seeing all the old boys and, of course, to see how
high I am in the Top 50."

An array of players from previous generations will be present along with
manager Sam Allardyce, himself a contender for Legend status, assistant Phil Brown and the current squad.

Nat Lofthouse, the club's greatest Legend, will be joining colleagues from
the 1958 FA Cup winning team including Roy Hartle, Tommy Banks, Dennis Stevens and Ralph Gubbins.

Former skipper Gudni Bergsson is flying in from Iceland and other former
players include Frank Worthington, Warwick Rimmer, Wyn Davies, Francis Lee, Gordon Taylor, Paul Jones, John Thomas, Tony Kelly, Alan Thompson, Dean Holdsworth and Per Frandsen.
