Nolberto Solano will be back in a familiar role today - parading down Aston Villa's right-hand side and hoping to mastermind a first away win of the season at Norwich City.

Solano returns to his usual position on the wing after being drafted into a midfield role in the goalless home draw against pace-setters Chelsea last weekend to eliminate the threat of Claude Makelele.

The former Newcastle United winger says Villa face a difficult task against a newly-promoted Norwich side.

He said: "It is a very important game for us to get three points. But it is difficult playing away in the Premiership, especially against teams like Norwich who are playing their first season back in the top flight.

"They will come out fighting to survive but we are ready for them. Our team spirit is very good at the moment. We may have injury problems in defence but we are still looking to win. We go into the Norwich game in good shape. We are ready for them."

Solano's views are shared by Villa manager David O'Leary, who has seen Norwich play on two occasions this season against Newcastle and Tottenham. He said: "Collectively they are a team and this is the strong feature about Norwich City. They have to work extremely hard and treat every game as if it is a cup final. But that is the nature of their game. "Of course, I know Darren Huckerby well from his days at Leeds."
