Maradona

Maradona has always been a footballing hero to me, that's one of the reasons why I joined Boca. So when I made my debut and we won 2-1 I was very happy. However, unbeknown to me at the time, Maradona was giving his usual post-match press conference and he called me a 'little master'. Compliments are always nice, but from such man, this was extra special.

What made it even more memorable was the way the press picked up on it. Again, when things are going well, reading headlines in the papers make you feel great…and this was probably the proudest I had ever felt. In 2001 I played in Maradona's testimonial and again, it was an incredible experience to play a part in such an enormous event.
