We had a really positive game in Greece last week, and although we could only draw 0-0, we played the ball around very well and created a couple of excellent chances. Greece are a decent team and with both sides competing in this summer's Olympics, it promised to be a quality competition that'll do justice to the spirit and the standing of the event.

Much has been written about the delays in the building of Greek stadiums, but after visiting the city of Volos, I can only say that we played in an excellent stadium. It's not quite finished yet but I've little doubt that they'll complete it on time.

I'm really looking forward to the summer, and it'll be more than an honour to represent my country in Athens. It's always special to play for Australia, but to play in the Olympics takes it to another level. The nickname of the under-23 team is the 'Olyroos' - and the fact that the name refers to the Olympics is evidence of the focus and important of the competition.

On returning to England I'd been looking forward to facing QPR at Ashton Gate. However I found myself on the bench and only played the last twenty minutes of the 1-0 victory. The gaffer played a central midfield paring of Brian Tinnion and Tommy Doherty with Scott Murray on the right. we face another tough game at Swindon this weekend and I'll be looking to start the game. Saturday's win was massive, and as I've mentioned earlier, games against the top teams shouldn't be feared - but welcomed as opportunities to improve our position - just as we'r enow close on the heels of QPR. It's not going to be easy, but the club's ambitious and these are challenges that we need to rise to.
