William Hardy - 05/09/2002

On Saturday night I’ll be attending a dinner to raise funds for a little lad called William Hardy. William caught meningitis at an early age and as a result he's lost three of his limbs.

A couple of months ago I learnt of William’s problems and since then I’ve been working to help build awareness of his trust fund. The dinner is one of a number or events that are planned. I’ve also teamed up with Barry Venison’s web site www.bid4sport.com and, with the help of Alan Shearer, Bid 4 Sport will be auctioning a variety of Newcastle merchandise in aid of the fund. It’s fair to say that professional players we earn more than a decent salary, this is just one way to give something back.

I’ll be donating a percentage of all profits from my website to help William’s cause. I’ll also keep you updated with the Bid 4 Sport auction and if you’d like to learn anymore about the trust, please email me and I’ll be very happy to pass on any detail’s to the fund’s organisers.
