A plus point for the Manager |

Over the last month or so it’s fair to say that the club hasn’t had the best of times. However, one of the plus points has been the emergence of Peter Ramage. I’ve seen him progress from the youth teams through to the reserves, and in making the big step up to first team football he’s earned his new contract by displaying maturity and ability.
Although he’s been playing at full back, he’s actually a centre half, so he follows in Steven Taylor’s footsteps in that he’s made his debut in a slightly unfamiliar role. It takes character to face the likes of Ryan Giggs, Bolo Zenden on your debut and home debut – but everyone who was at St.James would have seen a calm and assured performance. Winning the Man of the Match award capped a great day that could only have been bettered for him if we’d picked up the three points.
