Best player on the pitch – Scholes - 15/04/2003

   Paul Scholes
   Manchester United

Bit of a shocker on Saturday, and even though all the Man Utd team did well, I though Paul Scholes was tremendous. It wasn’t just his three goals, but his overall play was so neat and tidy. He wanted the ball and always seemed to lay it quickly to feet – great player. The lads are back in training and just want to get on with it and the next game just can’t come soon enough.

There’s a reserve team game against Everton tonight, a few of the first team are getting a run out, but I won’t be joining them. I got the results of my back scan and found I’ve got something called a bulbous disc. They can treat it, but it’s not something that’ll go away – 23 years old and picking up permanent injuries, have to put some more money in the pension! It’s not serious though, and I’ll be back in proper training next week. Just like the next game for the lads, training can’t come soon enough!
